The Mystery of the Crown Chakra

The Mystery of the Crown Chakra by Zonkatron

Although modern literature predominantly refers to it as the crown chakra, this specific focal point on top of the head appears symbolically across nearly every ancient culture, religion, and healing system.

From the sacred halos depicted in Western art and the topknots of Eastern traditions to the governing acupuncture points in traditional Chinese medicine, human history has long recognized this subtle gateway.

My personal journey with this point began about 20 years ago. As I started opening up to a spiritual path, I became distinctly aware of a subtle, physical-like sensation right at the top of my head. It wasn’t an abstract concept anymore; it was an undeniable feeling.

Over the years, I learned several meditation techniques that harness this area for deep relaxation, receiving spiritual inspiration, and channeling healing energy.

To best explain what it feels like, I often compare it to the heart chakra.

When you fall deeply in love, you become hyper-aware of a mysterious sensation in the center of your chest. It radiates warmth, openness, and a passion to embrace everything around you—even the urge to hug a tree. It is no surprise that ancient people consistently associated love with the physical heart, because that energetic feeling in the chest is completely undeniable.

The crown chakra feels like a heart chakra situated right on top of your head. It becomes active when you fall in love with spiritual awareness itself—when you spend quiet time seeking greater enlightenment and seeking answers about the spirit world.

Whenever the crown chakra is active, there is a profound sense of peace and meditative calm. Yet, it also carries a unique duality. Alongside that deep relaxation, there is often a distinct feeling of being lightheaded, spaced out, or gently floating just slightly outside your physical body. It serves as a fascinating bridge: a point where human emotion meets cosmic expansion, grounding us in awe while lifting us just beyond our physical frames.

Great blog!! I enjoyed this. I remember trying this one night and I saw a vision of a mansion. I don’t know what that means but it was a pretty house.

    1. It means that you have started to activate your spiritual channel, but it could take years before you progress in this area
