Job Market Future?

Imagine you have a giant toy box, and every year, some old toys are taken out, and new, cooler ones are put in. In 10 years, when it’s time for you to pick your “job toy,” the box will look a little different!

How hard will it get to find a job in 5 years?

Prediction

It will get slightly harder for the average person to get a job in 5 years, about 30% harder, so there will be a slight dip in the job market, but this will be a temporary dip and the world will adapt to it a couple of years later. So, after 10 years it will be just as easy (or as hard) to find a job as it is now.

However, most jobs are not going to be the same, and will not require the same set of skills. New skills will be needed.

The Bottom Line

In 10 years, you will still be able to find a job, but jobs will be less about “knowing the answers” (because you can just ask a computer) and more about “asking the best questions.”
