Pedro Flores
Pedro Flores (born July 19, 1970), known professionally by the aliases Mystic W, Mystic Flores, and Zonkatron, is a Nicaraguan-born spiritual author, psychic, and social media personality. He gained international attention in the early 2020s for his high-profile predictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand and his synthesis of mathematical theory with spiritual practice.
Early life and education
Flores was born in Catarina, Nicaragua, and raised in a Catholic household during a period of national conflict. In 1979, at the age of nine, his family relocated to Germany. Though raised in a religious environment, his family emphasized scientific achievement and academic rigor over spiritual or paranormal discussions.
At age 12, Flores was identified as having a “genius-level” aptitude for mathematics. He pursued this interest into adulthood with the ambition of creating a “Theory of Life”—a universal framework intended to explain human consciousness through the lenses of physics, chemistry, and biology.

In August 2004, at age 30, Flores reported a profound paranormal experience while trekking in the Austrian Alps. He stated that the event convinced him of the existence of an afterlife, leading him to abandon his scientific career to pursue spiritual studies.

Flores moved to Auckland, New Zealand, in 2005, where he trained in several alternative healing modalities. Between 2006 and 2009, he earned certificates in Reiki, Reconnective Healing, ThetaHealing, and the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique. He eventually developed his own proprietary methods, including AlfaHealing and Cathartic Emotional Release (CER). His professional psychic career began in 2008 in Taupo, New Zealand. Due to financial constraints, he initially offered “Free Psychic Readings” on public streets, eventually building a following that allowed him to transition into a full-time practice.
Rise to social media fame (2020–present)
Flores transitioned his brand to digital platforms, moving from Facebook (2010) and YouTube (2016) to TikTok (2020). In May 2021, under the name Mystic W, he posted a viral prediction stating that New Zealand would experience a significant COVID-19 event on August 10, 2026. While initially criticized by the New Zealand government and local media as a “conspiracy theorist,” the subsequent national lockdown on August 16—six days after his predicted date—led to a surge in his popularity. His TikTok following grew by over 500,000 in a single week.
Philosophy and methodology
Flores identifies as a “futurist” rather than a traditional psychic medium, asserting that his work focuses on future potentials and problem-solving rather than communication with the deceased. His methodology often incorporates his background in logic and mathematics to explain spiritual phenomena.
In 2026, he rebranded his public persona to Zonkatron. He currently provides private consultations globally, primarily via WhatsApp, and documents his travels across Eastern Europe (including Romania, Turkey, and Armenia).
