The Robots are NOT The Next iPhones

People imagine that in a few years, we will see lots of robots around doing human work.

I can assume you, this won’t happen until at least a hundred years. The iPhone became popular because it was essential for communication, Internet browsing, and affordable enough for the middle class.

Robots are at least 10 times more expensive than iPhones, they are bulky, and not really essential for our daily life. Hiring a human assistant will always be easier and better.

Prediction

Unless we’re talking about large warehouses or big manufacturing firms, the concept of robots taking over human jobs is ridiculous and will never happen in our lifetime.

Not every new technology is going to become mainstream. Apple vision pro was a failure, and the 3D-TV is still not realistic even though it used to be how we thought about future technology.
